For many small and medium businesses, the services offered by professionals who label themselves variously as HR consultants, business psychologists, corporate psychologists or organisational psychologists, seem out of reach.
And yet -
- A large part of the Australian workforce is employed here
- A large part of Australian revenue is generated here
- These small and medium organisations have the same problems as larger organisations - just on a smaller scale
- The small and medium organisations have unique problems such as vulnerability to key worker positions.
- Small and medium businesses also have another unique problem - widespread lack of relevant training - in management of people - and management in general.
Small to medium businesses can now benefit from thinking and applying psychology.
In addition to our work with large government and non-government organisations, we at Deltapoint set up functional relationships with a few small to medium organisations where we are available for a small proportion of a month. We are ourselves a small business (two person), and conduct all our work on a relationship basis.
Psychology - helps make business professional
The duration we spend with any small to medium business is by agreement, and intended to suit the expected use of these services. It is a simple contract arrangement and open to modification as needs change. During our time with a small to medium entity we can apply our expertise to DO or ADVISE on such topics as:

Your own professionals - on call
Just like your legal and accounting services, these services are undertaken on an ‘as needed’ priority basis. Just like them, we seek to understand your business and help in ways you may not have imagined. You will have access to your own HR person and your own corporate psychologist, at a fraction of the typical cost. We aim to help you understand more of what is really happening outside the organisation, inside the organisation, and in your own head.
