Team Assessment

As part of team development, team assessment looks at current team roles in terms of behavioural traits that influence how people contribute to (or inhibit) team functioning.  We select an approariate team assessment instrument to help explain the current behaviours of the team

Team assessment also uses a specific instrument to assess attributes concerning communication and the climate operating within the team, and within which the team operates.

No part of this process makes any person look bad, nor does it make the organisation look bad.  There is no finger-pointing or laying of blame.  What the process does - is identify opportunities that can be exploited in the development part of the program.

Let’s face it - improvement can happen only if there are changes - and to a large extent we are dealing with how people act (what they say - why they say it - what they do and why they do it). 

To get to be a high-performing team, these things are needed:

  • know where we are going
  • know where we are starting from
  • know how to get there

Blame has no place in a high-performing team
